The opening of the Marazzi Group’s new production plant
A world-leading next-generation plant equipped with two continuous
technology lines for maximum production flexibility in terms of range
and size, for making slabs with sides measuring over a metre in length:
these are the features that constitute the strengths of the Marazzi
Group’s new production plant in Casiglie, Sassuolo (MO, Italy), which
was inaugurated on 20 April.
The ceremony was attended by Vasco Errani, President of the
Emilia-Romagna region, Emilio Sabattini, President of the Province of
Modena and Franco Manfredini, President of Confindustria Ceramica, who
joined Filippo Marazzi, President of the Group, and Maurizio Piglione,
CEO, for the cutting of the ribbon in front of 150 people comprised of
representative local bodies and the Group’s major customers and
suppliers.
The new Marazzi plant, a 35-million-euro investment, is a concentration
of technology and innovation that leads the world in terms of the best,
most innovative applied technology production processes in the ceramic
tile sector. The plant’s continuous technology enables it to switch from
one type of ceramic production to another according to market demand
for size, thickness, colour and decoration. At full output the two lines
have a quality ceramic tile production capacity of approximately four
million square metres per year.
